A New Orleans-Inspired Cajun Shrimp Salad That Packs the Perfect Punch
This ain’t your average salad. We’re talkin’ juicy Gulf shrimp, seasoned to perfection with J-Boogie’s Cajun Lemon Pepper, seared just right, then tossed in a cool, crispy mix of greens, veggies, and a zesty homemade dressing featuring—you guessed it—J-Boogie’s Ultimate Gourmet Wing Sauce.
Whether you're keeping things light for Lent or just need a fresh dish with attitude, this salad brings flavor, heat, and Southern soul to the table.
Ingredients:
For the shrimp:
- 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp J-Boogie’s Cajun Lemon Pepper Seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Squeeze of lemon juice
For the salad:
- 4 cups mixed greens (romaine, arugula, spinach)
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup cucumber, sliced
- ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ avocado, sliced
Optional: corn kernels, black beans, boiled egg slices
For the dressing:
- 3 tbsp J-Boogie’s Ultimate Gourmet Wing Sauce
- 1 tbsp honey or agave
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Season & Sear the Shrimp
Toss shrimp in olive oil, Cajun Lemon Pepper, smoked paprika, and lemon juice.
Sear in a hot skillet for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and slightly crisp. Set aside.
Mix the Salad
In a large bowl, combine all salad ingredients and gently toss.
Whip Up the Dressing
Whisk together the wing sauce, honey, oil, and vinegar until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Assemble
Top the greens with the warm shrimp, drizzle with dressing, and give it a light toss. Serve immediately.
